It is never too late

In the above explanations we have tried to summarise the most important findings and experiences of Dr. Dr. Walter Pierpaoli and Dr. William Regelson. As mentioned in the introduction, we have used their book "The Melatonin Miracle" as a basis for this article. This is only a starting point and we would recommend you to read this extremely interesting and thrilling story for yourself - you will learn much more about your body and how you could support it to stay healthy and powerful even at an advanced age.

There is one thing we would still like to emphasise strongly - ". . . it is never too late . . .". Even if you have passed the age of 45 some time ago, you may still normalise the function of your pineal body and bring its melatonin production to a youthful level if you start taking melatonin regularly. The logical explanation for the resultant "rejuvenation" is the breaking down of the ageing mechanisms as described earlier:
· With a decreasing melatonin level, an increasing energy deficiency is created on cellular level.
· This energy deficiency affects the pineal body adversely and supports its calcification.
· The shrinking and calcifying pineal body reduces its melatonin production further, and the vicious circle of the ageing process takes its course.
If the body now receives from outside the amount of melatonin required to warrant normal energy production on a cellular level again, it will react accordingly. Melatonin is easily resorbed by the digestive system and is transported to every body cell by the bloodstream. There, it starts to fulfil its original task of safeguarding the energy supply. This stops the production of the noxious pyrophosphate, which is replaced by the life-supporting ATP. The energy generated allows the mitochondria to repair and renew themselves and to resume their function. The same thing happens to the pineal body itself - it gets enough energy to commence its normal work once more and, as a result, eventually brings its melatonin production up to a normal level again. The vicious circle of the ageing process slows down or even comes to a halt.

Of course, all this takes some time. Melatonin is not a medicine whose effect can be felt within minutes or hours. It is a bodily substance working on a different level. It takes time to implement and control the repairs necessary to organs in order to start the healing process of the disease called "ageing".
